I can forgo insurance and paid leave because Huz's pay package covers those areas.
ETA: I mentioned in the other thread that he's a full-time MBA student, but he is still being paid by the Coast Guard because he's still in the CG and will owe them years when he finishes. He makes significantly more than I do, partly because I'm not licensed in the state we're in now. It really does have everything to do with the household income rather than our individual salaries.
