The series Entourage

Okay, Entourage is awesome! I'm a late arrival. I recently got the dvds from the library and they're great. Yeah, it's single male behavior and Hollywood at that which in real life I would find shallow for the most part and too wild, but the writing is fantastic and the acting pretty good.

It's so funny. Smart and funny. Smartly written dumba** behavior...

I love E. And Vince, while flawed, is a good guy underneath. Ari is freakin' hilarious and while I don't like how he treats his wife, their interaction is great and she gives as well as she gets and underneath his bravado he's got desperation which they show again and again.

What a genius show. So well written. And so funny. (and on a subject matter and with language and behavior I normally wouldn't like!!).

TIN, I cant believe I didnt notice this thread before.

I have been an avid Entourage watcher since day 1. (hey, something had to make up for Sex and the City going off the air!)

I have always loved it. ALWAYS. SOmetimes I wish it wasnt only a hald hour. The addition of Scott to the crew this season is great, but Ive always loved him as an actor. And Jeremy Piven cracks me UP! E can tend to get on my nerves a little, but turtle, is a freaking RIOT!

How far along are you? Are you caught up to the current season?

I'm on Season 4. I had always heard it was good, but we don't get HBO. I am getting the dvds from the library.

The show is great. The writing so good, so funny. Yes, Jeremy Piven is great in his role as Ari...he makes the show. The interaction between Ari and Mrs. Ari is funny, too. He pretends he's in charge and doesn't care, but he really loves her (at least through Season 4)...I love the scene in Season 3, I think, where Ari comes to school to pick up his little girl but he's really there to talk to the woman from the studio about Aquaman. And then his wife leaves him in the parking lot. The whole scene - the way Jeremy Piven acts it out - is funny in a desperate way. He shows he's actually a decent dad, despite his flaws, when he sends the teen sensation boyfriend to Kazikstan. Hilarious.

I don't know...I like E! Maybe he gets worse after Season 4?

I love the banter between Drama and Turtle. It is surprising - the subject matter and behavior is totally not what I would approve of, and yet it's humanizing and funny from this group. I think it's because they are all good underneath the bravado and the chasing women.

I think I like it even more than Sex and the City. I wish we could get HBO. I've always liked HBO series. Six Feet Under was a good one, too, I thought.

Six feet under had the BEST series finale of ALL TIME. Hands down, Ive yet to see its equal. Im a true Lostie as well. And that finale paled in comparison if you ask me.

I really like Entourage, but I think it is past its prime. What do they call that, "Jumping the Shark"? You can tell that the focus of the show is drifting away from Vincent, which is a welcome change.

We have watched it since the beginning. I really like it.

TIN, you will see more of Mrs. Ari stepping up in season 6. I loved those episodes!

I thought I read somewhere there might be a movie to wrap it all up.

Good, I am glad they realized it is time to move on.
