eczema now leading to yeast?

Ds has a severe case of eczema....I've been on an elimination diet for about a week and it seemed to be clearing up by day 4...we are also using Schweitzer formula (not sure I spelled that right...) and another eczema relief drop which contains a lot of the oils recommended for this condition. Beginning yesterday my dh and I noticed that rather than looking like eczema, a lot of the spots on his chest and arms that looked like eczema before are now turning circular as though it were a yeast type probllem...like roundworm....

thoughts anyone on why this would happen or how to treat this naturally? Do we continue with just what we are doing? Oh, he IS taking probiotics by the way!

Yeast and eczema come hand in hand. If you've got eczema, check for yeast, if you have yeast, watch out for eczema.

Vinegar helps with both. But don't use it on broken skin.

Eczema

At 4 months of age DD started with spots that became increasingly red and started to spread. The ped. said it was eczema and suggested I use aquaphor. I had been using California baby soap. I did as she advised and started using aquaphor soap and lotion. The eczema got worse and I started using California baby Calendula Cream and within a couple of days it started to clear up with a flare up now and again. Then I started using goat milk soap from goatmilkstuff.com Within a few days DD skin looked like baby skin again. We continue to use the goat milk soap nightly and no new spots = happy mama! And as for yeast I had some difficulties with these beasties. I now drink a couple teaspoons of apple cider vinegar to combat them. Hope this helps.

I'm so frustrated.....feeling like its worse rather than better.

Dh insisted on a topical antibiotic as it began to look infected again. Also now he has these little over his chest and back....looks kinda like a heat rash only its been nice days...not overly humid or hot.....so what is up? I want to cry...I thought he'd be my 'healthy' baby.......

Same thing happened to us, with getting the "excema" turning into ringworm. This can be a sign of healing as the yeast is shed out of the body through the skin. Treating with an antibiotic isn't really going to help as it is coming from the inside out. The only way to get to the other side is go through it. Be consistent about whatever you're doing to heal him and support with magnesium (if there is any part of his body not affected by the rash you can apply a saturated solution of epsom salt in water and let soak in overnight).

Eczema is an acute skin disorder seen mostly among children’s and adults. It is mainly characterized by itchy rashes and dry scaly skin. It can be reduced with proper care and medication. The best treatment for eczema is to go for some herbs or Ayurvedic treatment as these are natural so there is less chances of any side effects and also can get healed off very quickly.

Michele01- We know what eczema is, and we are treating it naturally...the problem is that it became infected on his face..that's the only reason we gave into the antibiotic. I'm happy to report that it is working fast and now we can see that the eczema itself is almost gone....

mellowjello- interesting thoughts...the eczema is only on his face, arms and upper chest (near the neck)...the magnesium would be for??
