....go car camping with a 11 month old by yourself?
i had an overnight trip planned and reserved but now hubby doesn't want to go. i still want to and i think getting away is the thing to do right now.
do you think a really mobile kid would be too much to deal with on your own? (i'm bringing a pack and play and a portable highchair)
would it just not be fun?
would you be creeped out at all?

the main other thing that had been worrying me in general is that we've had some sleep issues the last week or so involving a lot of screaming (i think it's "premature pacifier rejection"....she doesn;t want it but doesn't know what to do without it. ugh!) i know how noises carry at these places. it cold be worse but it has taken me 30 minutes or so of screaming/nursing/screaming/boob/screaming/boob to get her to sleep.

I would do it, but the night screaming thing would make me nervous ~ but that's a general issue I have and am working on (see my thread about fear of annoying others).
If your baby did scream a lot at night, is it close enough that you could leave and go home if it was really bad? Besides that, I would say definitely do it!!

I've done it (not that young though - I think closer to 18 mo) and DH did it solo as well around that same age. Fun, but tiring. My main struggle was sleep (DS was hard to put down, more so in a tent). We hiked all day long with him in the ergo.

well....now it's probably going to be raining the whole time which makes me even less into it. i'd do rain camping as a family but not alone. boo.
