Flying with 1 yr old

I have a cross country flight coming up next week. It'll be my DD's 3rd trip.

I am looking for some good entertaining ideas.

Also, unsure if we want to bring a car seat for her. We havent in the other trips but she has a seat this trip because the last one was too tiring trying to hold her for 6 hours. She does not sit still unless being read to.

I've flown a lot with both children, at different ages, and I've found 12-18 mos. the hardest. What has worked with DS1 at that age was putting him in the sling and standing. Anything but sitting... Probably not the safest (if you believe that babies should be strapped in car seat for duration of flight) but definitely a sanity saver. Enjoy your trip!

Hey there! Are you renting a car seat at your destination? I've heard mixed reviews about rental car carseats. We're traveling with our two kids in 1 1/2 weeks & I've got to get this car seat / booster thing figured out!

Anyone have reccs?
