What is premature slippage? I've never heard of this.
We sent our son to a feeding clinic too, and they did not really have much insight into his eating problems - they told us it was probably reflux. They prescribed pepcid, but it did absolutely nothing for him - no difference in his reflux or appetite. He's definitely got some reflux going, but it doesn't seem to cause pain (just uncomfortable).
Of course, the reflux is getting much better now that he is walking. Supposedly, reflux goes away by age 2.
That said, he seems to have texture issues too because he won't touch anything that is a puree. He loves apples, but not applesauce.
