Ok, sometimes I feel the same way. Things I started with... cleaning products (just started cleaning with vinegar and baking soda instead of chemicals, when I cleaned), and replacing paper towels with rags made from t-shirts. I found they were really easy switches because it didn't really require me to change my normal behavior. The rags, i cut up to sizes where I could use them as if they were disposable, that is, I cut them small and use them once and then toss them in the laundry (instead of the garbage). i have piles of them (probably 3 t-shirts worth cut into 5 inch squares or so) and keep them in a pile in a basket near where the paper towels were. Then I moved on to scratch cooking because it required a bit more change in my normal behavior (extra work from cooking)... I'm still working on that, of course...
Anyway, it occurred to me that all the things you're trying to do to be "green" require large behavioral changes ... which of course are going to be more difficult to jump right into, if you kwim? So be easy on yourself! It's awesome that you're trying!! I agree with others that you gotta go with one at a time, though...
