Week 4--Is discharge normal??

Hi--I just found out I am about 4 weeks pregnant after 5 months of trying(YAY!). I am totally paranoid about early miscarriage since my sister had one at about 6 weeks.

I am having a clear discharge--pretty light but enough to make my panties damp when it happens. Think this is normal? Every time I feel it I freak out because I'm expecting to see blood...

I guess I'm just looking for ease of mind and I don't want to call my doctor every three seconds! As a first-timer, I find myself paranoid with every little pain or discomfort...yikes! It is going to be a long nine months!

Totally, completely, 100% normal, Mama! You may have discharge like that for a while. Mine usually subsides at 10-12 weeks. Congratlations on your pregnancy

I had discharge throughout my whole pregnancy last time, and this time at 18 weeks, still growing strong. Kind of gross and annoying!

Congratulations!

pretty much all of pregnancy, wierd discharge is normal. and it's normal to go away for a little bit and normal to suddenly increase or change how it looks. just hang in there : )

Sorry you are so worried. Cramping this early in pregnancy is also entirely normal. Your uterus is doing some major stretching right now, even though that baby is so small. Everything down there is changing so much, so it is completely normal to have cramps, and with the extra discharge, feel like your period is coming.

I try not to worry, period, but it.is.hard!!! I usually feel much more at ease at about 10 weeks though.

Take care, Mama. Chances are very, very good that everything will go just fine

Congratulations! How very exciting!!!

It was almost impossible for me not to worry! Even in the most healthy pregnancy, I STILL worry about almost anything that *could* go wrong! It is very nice to hear that all is well and good and eventually the things you once worried about will become obsolete.
