Full Moons - Page 2

There were several large studies that disproved the birth and full moon connection, and the ER trauma and full moon connection. That doesn't mean it's not fun to speculate!

I'm 38.5w (a full week more pregnant than ever before) and if she wants to be born now I will oblige!

I have a million little things i should probably do, but I would totally take having a baby today. Woke up last night with some serious contraction like feelings and have been having consistent BHs all day long. My mom wants me to wait until tomorrow to have him/her as it is her birthday. I told her I'll do my best

Me, too. Like, if my water broke right this minute and contrax 2 minutes apart, I would be freaking THRILLED!!!!!

But I signed up for a labor massage class with DH on 9/10. Cos I know I'll still be pregnant.

lol...

I keep thinking, I really want to have this baby. It would be great...

but...

We don't have a car seat yet!
We don't have anywhere for her to sleep yet! (our full size bed is not big enough for me to sleep in alone, let alone with DH and Mae!)

but we are taking care of that tonight after DH gets off work.

AND going to get my snack foods for labor.

My MWs with dd always said that the birth center was always full the night of the full moon (and the day before and after) compared to the rest of the month when it was fairly slow..

I'm no where near labor and i'm guessing I may possibly hit the Sept 23 moon since i'm due on the 26th. at least i can hope.. Way better than going late again.

I was hoping, but alas still prodromal here. Crampy contractions and bloody show earlier gave me hope, but not a whole lot going on now.

Nada.

I am EXHAUSTED, despite being very well rested, but I have a feeling this baby will stay put until September.

my midwife said taht there are actually more births on a waning moon

I just have my usual crampy feelings but nothing else. As nice as it would be to not be pregnant, I think I'll be making it to my Friday midwife's appointment. I'm only 37 weeks, so a little bit longer cooking wouldn't be a bad thing.

This baby better not wait around until the 23rd, though!!!

Nothing here, and gratefull! Even my crampiness is fading out! Baby can stay as long as he needs to. Sept 23 sounds good!

*sigh* The full moon seems to be ramping up my cramping/prodromal. I swear I can FEEL my cervix opening. But nothing "real" going on. Just irritating. I'm going to bed. Moon Fail.

Nothing here either.

Tomorrow is the one day through my whole pregnancy that I didn't want to deliver (it's my Dad, who I have completely cut out of my life for various reasons, and my ex's birthday).

I'm also going to be 2 hours away from home.

Sounds like a good day to stay put right baby?

Maybe it's good that the moon did nothing for me

I've had 3 contrax in the past hour but that's meaningless. They're not painful and I'm not even 36 wks. Shrug.
I'm having lots of contractions tonight but that's no different than usual I'm 38 and 5 (or 6 if you go by LMP) days.

My midwife said she births more babies on the new moon.
I was a full moon baby, DH was a new moon baby, DD was born just after a full moon (DS was induced and doesn't count!)

New moon is Sept. 8th

really really hope I have her before then!

LOL, Kelly! Moon Fail! That is how I felt, too.

I wanted a birthday baby...didn't get one. So then how about a full moon baby? Nope, not that either.

You know what? I don't care at this point as long as it is before I jump off a bridge! Ha. And I am thinking that is what will happen if I am still pregnant for the next full moon (no way I'll make it to 9/23!) or HA! my next birthday...363 days from now!

My cousin told me her EDD with her 3rd baby was 9/1, just like me. That baby was born 9/22. I told her never to tell me a story like that again.

Baby, you can come at any moon phase you want...just make it snappy.

ROTFL. Why, why, WHY must people tell stories like this when you're already going out of your mind? It's pure sadism.

Well, here I am.... I guessed that 8/25 would be babies due date.... nothing happening. I thought the full moon would spur something, but seriously no contractions for days....

I guess the baby will come when he or she is ready.

It worked for my friend!!! She was due this coming Saturday. Her water broke last night at around 2 am. She had the baby about 2 hours ago.

Nothin' but lots of contractions for me. :/
