My husband's birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks, and amongst other stuff, I want to give him a book on father and daughter relationships, bonding, etc. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Edit: Dad and baby would be fine too if it's a really good book.

i bought DP the book strong fathers, strong daughters by Meg Meeker. i found it very touching and it really enlightened him as to how important a role he has in DDs life.

Awesome, will add this one to my list. Any more suggestions?

EDIT: I am reading the reviews of that book on Amazon, and a lot of people are saying that it is written by a very conservative and very religious woman, and that the views in the book are quite reflective of that. Since we are neither conservative nor religious, this gives me pause. Did you find the book to be so?

you know i had not read the whole thing and from what i read i did not feel that way, just went through it for you and yes it talks about God and teaching her modesty and sex abstination until she's ready ect.
we are religious so it does not matter to us but sorry i had not realised that before i posted...DP hadn't said anything about it.

:)

(a little bit different, but yu might like the idea)
I am making a book for my DH

I'm sure you have loads and loads of photos of your DH and baby, and you can use them to create a story, through one of the online photo printing places (Snapfish, etc.)

THis way it's special and one of a kind.

I ended up getting him "What All Little Girls Need & What Most Women Never Had: Healthy, Loving Relationships with Their Fathers." I am going to explain to him that I don't think he is going to not have a healthy relationship or that I think I didn't or anything, just that I wanted him to have something to look at to get inspiration from!
