sorry to see you got af 2 Just wanted to say my lp not bfing is 10-11 days and I've had 5 successful pregnancies I think less than 10 days is usually a concern. Thought it might be encouraging to hear.....

I've always had short LPs. Sometimes as short as 7 days; other times as long as 11 or, once, 12. DH and I got pregnant both times the first cycle we tried and have two lovely little girls. The second was conceived when I was still nursing the first. I was so worried about my LPs, but it was never a problem for me, and I swore I'd come back and give a ray of hope to the LP ladies out there. I wonder--with so many stories of challenge and so many stories of success, all with short LPs--if there's something we're not catching onto...

Good luck everyone!

Thanks...always nice to hear positive stories. The thing is I have NO idea of I have always had a short luteal phase or not! DS was a very happy accident. I was not TTC to charting or paying attention to my cycle at all. I just had too much pinot grigio on my birthday and the rest is history!!!

Marnica -
I've been doing some research on B6 - you should google B6 toxicity. From what I've read, over 200 mg/day isn't recommended because it can cause some nerve issues in your hands and feet. I've been having some issues with late cycle spotting, so I'm trying a B-50 complex (it has 50 mg of B6, and other vitamins). I'm starting out with that to see how it goes, and if doesn't work I'll up it to the 100.

Sorry AF found you. Hopefully next month will be better.

b6 can also make you o late. I'm stopping it before O from now on. THe first cycle I took b6 i only took it after O and it still helped my LP.

This may be a dumb question, but do you take the B6 as well as a prenatal vitamin? Or instead of?
You should take it with the prenatal or with a B-complex, as it needs the other b-vitamins to work well.

Thank you, ASusan. I'm not sure if I'm going to need it yet, as I've just started charting, but with my long, irregular periods, it may be something I need to look into.

Shenjall - I just started taking the B6, so I'm still learning... but from what I've read, it's better to take a B-complex vitamin, because all the B vitamins work together. I'm taking a B-50. I'm currently taking it in addition to my prenatal, since the prenatal has some stuff that the B-50 doesn't. But I have read of women alternating days of the B-complex and prenatal, or taking the prenatal everyday and the B-complex every other day. There seems to be a ton of different ways to take it.
Hope this helps!

Thanks ValH! I'm a newbie learning too. I like your idea of taking the B-50 every other day. I'll have to go out and pick some up.
