I think i convinced my SIL to not CIRC their little boy

Since MaineCare no longer covers this "cosmetic surgery" you have to pay for it up front if you want your boy circ. Since they do not have that kind of money they have decided that if the dr thinks its necessary to have him circ'd then MaineCare will have to cover it. So they are leaving him intact. She's due October 11th. Her first son is circ'd.

Had i known the information i know now i wouldn't of gotten my 2 boys circ'd either. I didn't know how easy peasy it was to "clean" it.

My mom told me back when i had my first circ'd she was like its cleaner to have him cut. So i followed her instinct. She also said you have to keep retracting the foreskin so it doesn't "stick" WHICH I FOUND OUT IS NOT TRUE. Its a Pain in the Butt she said...UGH...Why did she fill my head with all this garbage? My dad was intact but my brother is not. They had my brother Circ'd.

So Anyways i am glad i was able to convince my SIL...Now i just hope that my MIL doesn't front them the money to get it done...cause she will in a heartbeat.

Thats awesome.
I do have to say however, that for my son and many other circ'ed babies, you DO have to keep pushing the skin back so it doesn't stick. Sometimes it sticks on only one side and adheres crooked, and causes pain. And sometimes then it tries to pull itself unstuck, which hurts and may bleed. Which is why having a circ'ed baby is NOT easier to deal with than an intact one (and one of the hundred reasons we left DS#2 intact).
