The Super Brites are quite small. I think you could do the Bummis SWW with a yellow but not sure about the orange.

Do you have anything in your next size up stash? Rather than go with more Brite newborns, you might consider having one or two size small - may be too big to begin with but it would do in a pinch and as your baby begins to outgrow the NB, you would have a couple to start with.

Thirsties Duo Size 1 fit my 8lb 8oz baby from the beginning. Her legs have always been a little chubby though.

I probably wouldn't get more newborn covers, but would get a few Duo Size 1's if you can afford it. DD is just barely in her size 1s now, but they do still fit (ETA) she is 5 months

I was sooo sure we were going to have a tiny baby. My husband is average sized now, and was in the 7lb range at birth. I was born 3 weeks late and was still only 7lbs and 2 oz, and am 5'2" and 110 lbs now. Whelp, our baby was born at 8lb 3oz and only fit in the newborn size prefolds/covers for 3 weeks. It was nice having some of the yellow edge and a few size small covers instead of just newborn.

Plus there is a period where the baby can fit in the newborn and the smalls so its nice to have both. We really liked the duo size one covers and they still fit at 3 months, 15 lbs, and two chunky thighs later! I'm sure we'll have a few more months use out of them as well.
