So, I have been sort of watching the flyers and haven't noticed anything amazing this year. Anyone find anything crazy cheap to stock up on?

the penny deals at staples started back in July on the 11th....and the other big box office supply stores also started around then so most sales have died down..so I have no clue right now because I haven't seen anything in the next two weeks of ads at any of the stores I typically find the deals.
Good luck!
Good luck!

Staples had good sales starting early in July.
So for I've picked up a Free after rebate, Backpack, pens, highlighter, post its, pop up tape (good for xmas wrapping). Penny sales on paper (notebook and copy), and pencils
They are just about done with the sales if I remember correctly from years past.

yeah- I think the last half of July is really the hot time. crayola markers and colored pencils for $1 and crayons for $.25. This week my grocery store Hyvee has a ton of hot deals though on paper and backpacks and package type deals like a filled backpack for $5 with qualifying purchase.

Office Max has .01 folders with brads {we use for lapbooks & making books}, .25 markers, .05 protractors, and .15 pencils {10pk}. They also have .05 crayons but they are not good quality.
Walmart has .25 comp books, .25 crayola crayons, and a few more things.
Walgreens has .19 2pk Elmers glue sticks - that's a great price. They also have $1 crayola markers.
Office depot has .05 pencil sharpeners and .50 binders.
The deals are there you just have to look and shop around.
And Check office max and office depot - both will be having Teacher days this week {homeschoolers count too} and doing discounts.

Unfortunately there aren't any good back to school sales were I am. However, Ive noticed they tend to overstock on school supplies so I wait until close to when school starts (usually the weekend before and the weekend after) and they discount the extra stuff a lot. I spent about 30.00 last year and got 15 spiral notebooks (for me not the girls, I use them for household lists, letter writing, planning, notes on things, brainstorming etc), about 15 things of liquid glue, 10 glue sticks, 5 packages of crayons and 2 packages of markers. Thats about as cheap as you can get around here.
