I'm in pain-- what could be going on?? UPDATE: impetigo

I feel like I got hit by a truck. Every joint in my body is aching, and I keep getting these random sharp pains that shoot down my arms and legs. I'm really uncomfortable, everything hurts. It started about 9 hours ago; we were at the zoo and my legs started to feel heavy and I got nauseous. It's just been a downward slide from then even though I've been laying low the rest of the day. I can't stand up for more than a minute or two; my whole body feels like it'll just collapse.

I'm kinda freaked out. Can anyone offer me any insight into what may be going on? Anything I can try before looking for professional help?

Consult your Doc asap

Hi,

In the case if you are working for long hours, the pain may be due to restlessness.. If that's not the case, then you need to consult a general Physician or a neuro-physician as soon as possible.. Don't get freaked out, I hope it wouldn't be a serious issue

How are you feeling today? If you are still feeling like this, I think you should call your doc and get checked today.
Hope you are better.

Did you get overheated/dehydrated at the zoo? It could be heat exhaustion.

Thanks everyone. I am feeling better today, though more achy and tired than usual. And i have these weird scaly dark patches on my arm I'm going to give it another couple days and then call the dr.

I went to the doctor today and I have impetigo; so does dd. He said the other day when I was suddenly all in pain was probably the staph infection because then I erupted in blistering spots (so gross, I know). This is the 2nd time dd has had it, but since I knew it when it first appeared i treated it (w/ bacitracin) and so hers hasn't spread. But why is this happening again? What can I do to help speed up the healing? Can I avoid future outbreaks?
