WTF??? My old MDC thread is on a medical website!?

I was bored, and just googled my mdc user name to see if there were any other forums I had posted on, and an old thread of mine popped up in a medical website! This forum, nor any of the posters were mentioned, (except my user name because someone wrote it in a reply). Is this normal??? Google your user names and see if someone put your thread in a website too!

almost everyone from mothering is there. including me. this post was totally 'lifted' from here. word for word. if you signed your name in your post it is there. otherwise they look authorless.

Yeah...

I feel really uncomfortable with some of the posts on that site... you can't do that can you? Is that against some terms of use or is it basically whatever is publicly available? post at your own discretion sort of thing...


This kind of reminds me of when I stumbled across a MDC snark board and happened upon my miscarriage story being ripped to shreds. My internet innocence was totally lost at that point... at least this isn't that obnoxious.

It looks like a site stealing our content. It is NOT legal, it is a violation of our copyright and it is a violation of the google adsense TOS. I will need to put together a report


It is pretty common for sites to theft content to get adsense.

They are probably just using a program to copy the content and place it on their site.
