Do you alternate shoulders?

I have been trying to switch sling shoulders and alternate the side I use my Scootababy when I do hip carries. It is so awkward though! Any advice or any comments on the subject?

while i do think that's a good practice (so you don't get lopsided from carrying on the same side all the time ), i always found it awkward! i'd try once in a while but usually it was for short trips like running into the store to quick pick up something. no real advice or tips just a !

Not usually! For me, there's a side that allows me the best mobility and seems more efficient (left shoulder), so it's hard to switch. There have been a few times--like when I needed to nurse on the other side--that I've switched.

I Do

For short stretches with a sling I have a preferred side. I will switch sides sometimes though, like if we're traveling and I'm using the carrier 10 or 12 hours a day for several days in a row.
