The discount card is available to public, private and home school educators. Teachers will be asked to provide a current teacher identification and state-issued photo ID card. Home school educuators will need to provide an affidavit to home school or other documentation that reflects home school teacher status, or PEAH or HSLDA proof of membership and state-issued photo ID card.

In addition to the free tote and saving on classroom supplies during Teacher Appreciation Days, teachers will receive:

* Their own discount card good for 15% off every purchase (regular and sale priced items), valid thru Aug. 31, 2011
* A bonus coupon for 20% off any one total future purchase

They should. I got mine last week and didn't even have any proof. I just registered and I haven't even received my letter back yet.

I have never had to show an id. But I have a Homeschool Buyers Club card just in case.

I've never had to show any ID with my discount card. It's a good thing because I don't have a homeschool ID card. And it doesn't matter what I buy at JoAnn's. The clerk just swipes the card almost without looking at it except to find the bar code.
