Slight shooting pain in one breast - weaning 4yo and pg

Since last night, I've had a few very short episodes of a shooting pain (not terribly painful and only lasting about 15 seconds) in my left breast.

I have been encouraging weaning DS completely, and we are generally down to once a day in the morning although I have gone 24+ hours w/o nursing. I am 14 wks pregnant, breasts have been extremely tender due to pg and latch on hurts a lot. DS frequently says there is no milk, but sometimes he does get some.

Last week or two, they have gotten bigger which I know is normal, but now I need to get bigger bra's to wear.

I looked up mastitis on kellymom, but it doesn't match my symptoms. I don't want to get engorged and get mastitis. I know I need to get new bra's so they are not squished, but has anyone else had this happen while weaning? Anything I should be doing to prevent engorgement?
Thanks!

Hi Mama,
How frustrating!
I don't know anything about the shooting pains, but I know people say to put a cabbage leaf in your bra to prevent engorgement. Also, a bit of hand expression to relieve some pressure helps, too.
Re shooting pains, contact your local LLL leader or a LC in your area.... see what they have to say.
Congrats on the pregancy, and good for you for BFing your LO for soo long!

Thanks! I'm keeping an eye on it. I think there was only a slight bit earlier today or last night but that's all.
