After meeting with the Orthopedic Surgeon today, we are moving ahead with Tendon Transfer Surgery on Gabrielle's right foot. We feel this is the best possible solution at this time with the foot turning she is falling alot.
Tomorrow I will call his MA and set it up. I know he is booked into October, but we would rather do it then, than over Christmas.
She will have a full leg cast for 4 weeks and then a shorty cast for 2-3 more weeks. We will have access to a wheelchair and special carseat for our use during her cast wearing.
Oh and the surgery will only last an hour and it is day surgery.
Sounds like similar to when she had her achilles tendon surgery.
