What did you get done today?

I love reading these threads because it always provides some inspiration, and accountability. So, I thought I'd start this one tonight because I finally buckled down and really made some progress.

Today I...

Washed, folded and put away 3 loads of laundry
Picked up a new toddler bed for DS and got it set up in his room
Organized and put books in new bookshelf
Cleaned and rearranged the dining room/playroom and parts of the living room
Vacuumed our outside back porch, front porch and back room (what a chore!)
Vacuumed
Cleaned our bedroom
Fixed a good wholesome meal from scratch
Did all dishes

Now...

Ready for bed!

Well, your post has made me feel entirely inferior, but I'll play. Today I washed the dishes, took the kids to the park, decluttered about 10 items out of our new kitchen.

Vancouver Mommy don't feel inferior! It's not a competition, and spending time with the kids at the park is priceless. I would love to take DS to the park but he is sick, winter here and it is windy and miserable outside too.

It does help to list everything, and is amazing how much more it seems once you write it down!

Today so far I:

brought in dry washing
did one load of washing and hung out
made all beds
sorted magazines to give away
cleaned ensuite sink
cleaned toilet
dusted a lot of living room
decluttered a few things and put some in car to go..

Only 2.20pm here so much more to do still...

LOL not much but you were busy.

It was mostly a kitchen/garden day today.
Weeded and watered the garden, harvested what was there.
Went through the library basket like a crazy woman looking for a lost book - but at least the basket was cleaned and sorted at the end of it all.
Started more oil for calendula salve with flowers harvested from the garden.
Blanched and froze a couple of bags of green beans and corn, and chopped and froze some more rhubarb.
Took the kids to a local museum where the currator told us we could pick some crab apples from their trees. So we picked a couple of baskets of crab apples for making jelly. Was going to start making jelly tonight but ug its too hot to spend any more time in the kitchen.
Baked a batch of cookies - 'cause I needed chocolate chips more than crab apple jelly -lol.
Cleaned 1/2 the fridge out while I was baking cookies.
Did a load of laundry and made more laundry soap.
Cleaned my ILs pool and watered their garden while they are away.
Took 2 bags to the thrift shop and bought a new kettle for a $1. .

Now I am surfing, knitting and watching Jon Stewart - lol.

I did two full loads of laundry. Totally not much but since Ive been struggling with morning sickness and been doing the bare minimal its a success to me. Lately Ive been throwing in just what we needed for the next day and nothing else, I actually think by Monday I might have all the laundry caught up. Something I haven't accomplished since end of May.

I plan on doing dishes, making dinner and cleaning up the kitchen some but we shall see what else I get done. Its 4 here already and Im soooooo tired.

Hooray!!! So happy you all wanted to play! In my book getting anything done around the house when you have little ones at your feet is a SUCCESS! I have put off the house the last couple of weeks because we were out enjoying the weather, parks, etc. It was finally time to buckle down. I plan on getting some things done today, but a big priority is to get DS out of the house later to play with some friends.

I was just going to post what I wanted to get done today, but decided not to. I think it is so much better at the end of the day to post what I HAVE accomplished...makes you feel good to see everything you got done and focus on the positive.

Keep it up ladies!

Replaced batteries in both the swing and jumper/exersaucer

Next up (providing DS continues to nap):
Wash Dishes, Clear Table, Clean Counter and Stove

We just moved into a brand new house 2 months ago and I have several bad "clutter spots" that have become dumping grounds for items that have no obvious home. Today I would like to continue working on the kitchen corner and gets some things together for my sister's upcoming garage sale. My real problems are the garage, the front entry and the books piled up on the second floor landing, but I need to get some proper shelving before I can really do much there. I was just joking about feeling inferior, Calebsmommy I learned years ago not to compare myself to others.

But my real priority today is to make sure my kids have at least some fun today as I feel too sick with a cold to take them anywhere and I have a splitting headache. I'm really just trying not to lose my patience with them today.

Dumped the recycling
Picked up CSA share
Piano lessons for kids
Visited with an old friend
Cleaned out the bathroom cabinets - I threw away contact lens solution that expired.....wait for it..........12 years ago.

I'm also working on getting the basement family room straightened up (and decluttered). But now.... nap time with the babe!

Well, I finally finished the dishes and cleaned the table, counter and stove. I took the first load of laundry out of the dryer and transfered the second load to the dryer. Unfortunately, I still need to fold and put away both loads.

I finally got a shower (DS is teething and was very fussy today) and I pumped breast milk so that I can go to an appointment tonight.

Oh, wow, fun place for me to brag, LOL!

Went through the 2T and 24-mo hand-me-down clothes (winter) for DD2. Squee, I'm really happy about that. That was my organizational task. Tomorrow I have to list all the clothes and decide what we need to buy. I think I'm missing one waterproof glove.

I did a two loads of laundry (not folded).
Went to the park. Of course.
Went grocery shopping for dairy and a few extra fruits and veggies. With two kids in tow, mind you.
As usual, swept and mopped kitchen and bathroom.
Did all the dishes and put away (dinner dishes waiting for morning).
De-cluttered my blog a bit.
Refreshed my levain.
Wiped the fixtures and the sinks.

And then of course I took care of my children who are clean, bathed, and will have at least 12 hrs of sleep this 24-hr period.
