Best reasons for tantrums!

Sometimes you just have to laugh about these things so you don't cry...

DD has had a few good reasons so far:

- Mom took the sheet off the bed to wash it (God forbid!).

- Mom and Dad were not in the same room i.e. roughly 8 feet apart from each other. If we are too far apart (as in not right next to each other) she will take my hand and lead me over to DH and if I can't go watch out!!!

- Mom won't let me pee in my doll's potty/my doll's shoes don't fit/why won't mom put my doll's jacket on me? I'm really looking forward to the day when she understands more about sizes!!!

- Mom took my little people away from them because I was using them to draw on the walls..

- Mom and Dad won't let me lick the bottom of their shoes!

I have an almost 16 month old and he throws tantrums for the smallest things!

Just now because I was dancing in the kitchen with his baby brother.

I agree... You have to laugh to not cry about it.

I won't give her my cell phone when I'm trying to make a call.
I put her over the gate, even if I'm right behind her, about to climb over myself.
I open the laptop.
And oh, so many more. She's been a real treat today. Not. Luckily Daddy just took her out for an hour. Or three hopefully.

Oh man, this is gonna be good.

- having to wait to nurse
- wanting help to put on a piece of clothes while simultaneously wanting to do it herself
- not being able to fit her three dolls into a hand purse

The square shape doesn't fit in the circle hole, etc.

Laundry. Just the fact that clothes exist. Also shoes.

Food does not materialize precisely when she wants it.

Other people have feelings, too.

I think that covers most of the tantrums.

My DS, who rarely tantrums, had the biggest tantrum of his life to date because I would not let him take a deflated balloon to the playground.

Because mommy can't take off the doll's clothes that are sewn right onto the body. That mommy can't take the clothes off Little People that are painted onto their bodies.

Last week a friend and I took our two year olds swimming. On the way home they started arguing "My daddy!" "No, my daddy!!" "NO!! My daddy!" "NOOOO!!!! MY DADDY!!!" Neither of their daddies were even there.

And lately, when I tell DD I love her she says "NO! My love YOU!!" in an angry way. (She gets "my" and "I" mixed up.)

-because I wasn't wearing a bra in the middle of the night.

- We have to put sheets back on the bed after we strip the bed to do laundry.

- We have to give the items we plan to purchase to the grocery checkout clerk so that we can pay for them.

- I did not realize that she would want the crab in addition to the pelican, penguin and turtle squirt toys for the car ride.

- I do not do my physical therapy exercises all day long. (WHAT is with this? She's obsessed with my little 20-minute ankle and hip strengthening routine. "Mama do exercises! Mama do exercises!!!!!")

one night I put Tom's toothpaste on her toothbrush. She wanted more of the crappy kids colgate we got as a sample.

Not being able to find his pacifer so that he could have "me-me(pacifer) time" in a tent with a friend. Except he NEVER used a pacifer! EVER! And I certainly didn't bring one camping, when he's 3 years old and NEVER used a pacifer!

Ha, that is cute.
Mine:
-Because we are not millionaire and buy her all the toys she wants all the time.
-Because she has to share my (or should I say "her") kisses with her sister.
-Because her 12 year old sister wouldn't share her cool shiny things
-Because her 12 year old is using HER cute funny stuff, lol.

The adorable little Haba pretend cakes I got him as a sweet surprise...were not real cupcakes that he could eat. Most days he would have loved them but... (3 y old)

Not being allowed to climb a pillow and propel herself Indiana Jones style into the crib that forms one end of our shared bed. At 2 a.m. In her sleep. (12m)
