I don't know if they work or are worth the effort. I just bought a pair of +1.50 Foster Grant reading glasses for $11 at Walmart. It is just fine print, especially in dim light, and threading a needle which trouble me now. And that is only hard when I am wearing my contacts for my nearsightedness.
I have had 2 eye doctors tell me that exercise is helpful. One was an exercise where you hold a pencil or fingertip in front of you and focus on the tip and bring it closer till your eyes start to cross, and you feel a resistance.
The other person told me that I was nearsighted, but that the exercises might help me to avoid glasses---my eyes aren't very weak, but I need glasses to drive, for sure. I think both of these people came up with the suggestions for me without me asking, but it was years ago. I have never consistently exercised my eyes.
