Flu or West Nile or does it even matter?

I got a serious skeeter bite Friday night and had a big reaction to it. Monday night I noticed a sore neck and some achy muscles. Tuesday night I noticed my throat was sore. Well Wed all hell broke loose. Massive muscle aches, headache, 101-103 fever, CHILLS, achy knees. Today I still have a sore throat, seriously achy knees and ankles (like make it hard to walk sore), and fever is down to 99.

At first I thought it might be West Nile, but it could be the flu as well. Never in my life have I had such achy joints. My knees and my ankles are so sore while just sitting...I hobble when trying to walk.

Does it matter what I have? I have been drinking plenty of water, lots of Vit C and rest, chicken soup, cell salts, and zinc. Anything else I can or should do?

Is the achiness something to be concerned about?

No one has a comment. Could it be lyme disease? I feel much better this afternoon...still have a headache 99 fever and the achiness is still there (though much reduced!)

I've heard it's possible to get Lyme from an infected mosquito. You might consider going to get tested for Lyme if you are still having symptoms after a week. If you catch it early, treatment is shorter and easier.
