Got volunteer plants?

Near the compost pile, between the fence and a heavily pruned bush I have.... cherry tomatoes, a mystery squash and a potato growing in the compost pile itself.

I am SO curious to see what kind of squash this might produce. Blackberry vines are making it hard to get to the toms but DH says he's willing to get em.

Awesome! Volunteers are the best! We had a ton of pumpkin plants and tomato plants. We also had 3 broccoli plants. Oh, and some gourds. We ended up hacking out the pumpkin and gourds because it was seriously out of control. They were growing over the tops of the tomatoes and they were starting to kill them off. We did end up with 3 gourds and 5 huge pumpkins.

We have a corn stalk growing in our front flower bed. Sweetie and I argued for weeks about what it was. I swore there was no way in heck it was corn. Bet him $5..I lost..lol

We don't grow corn..I only have tomatoes going in the back yard. (Started with 6 plants, and they mutated into 12.) My next door neighbors have pumpkins, zucchini, peppers and some herbs..No one's got corn anywhere real nearby..Except me! Where it came from, I don't know...lol

I have a bunch of volunteer tomato plants -- no idea which variety (varieties?) because I always experiment with several each summer. I don't think they're going to get big enough before the season ends here to produce fruit, but I'm debating digging a few up and bringing them in when it gets cold.
