Hi everyone! I'm going through my bathroom cabinets and the closet in the hall and I have a ton of yucky lotions that are not being used. What is the most eco-friendly way of getting rid of them. I will obviously recycle the bottles but what is the best way to get ride of the lotion itself?

Well when I have thrown out bottles with stuff still in them, which has not been often, I don't like to pour it down the sink so I have just thrown the bottle into the recycling with the stuff still in it.
Also when bottles and such get to the recycling plant, they're washed, so rinsing them at home is just wasting water.

The last time I had half bottles of stuff like that, I listed it on Freecycle. I was amazed at the number of people who were interested in partial bottles of cleaning supplies, shampoos, etc.! So, if it's still usable, then maybe you can Freecycle it and find someone who will actually use the stuff.
