If you got pregnant while breastfeeding...

Did you breasts get full and sore like with other pregnancies or not? That is why I was SURE I wasn't pregnant was that my boobs weren't full or sore at all and the really really were the last two times I was pregnant. But my nipples are really sore when DD nurses, so I took a test and got a BFP. I just don't understand why my boobs aren't bigger or sore at all. I'm actually hoping they get bigger soon, they are back to being really small the last few months, lol!

Another question.... did your nipples hurt the whole way through the pregnancy or just for a while? I'm thinking of weaning DD now, but really just because I can't stand nursing right now. If the soreness will go away in a couple of weeks I'll stick it out until she's ready to stop nursing. And I would swear I have no milk left at all, but DD says there is "a little bit of booby milk, SO YUMMY!" lol!

Welcome to MDC and congrats on the new addition!

There isn't a subforum just for tandem nursing but I think if you do a search on the forums related to breastfeeding you will find numerous posts about the topic.

I didn't have the swelling and breast pain when nursing and pg like I did with the other 2 pg. I didn't really notice my breasts get any bigger but that may be because I am large chested. I had pain with nursing for several months but if I remember right it got better towards the end of the pg.

I nursed both kids for a while but didn't tandem until Dd2 was over a yr. Ds was doing the whole nursing once a month and on 1 occation they nursed together. DD2 was not thrilled with sharing her nursies thought lol.

I wish you the best of luck. The pain get better for some women and not for others I think so it may be a personal choice. Any other questions just ask.
