How did your kid react when he/she use the potty for the first time?

I got a book for my 2 year old daughter where the cat show somethings to do before go to bed, incluiding use the potty.
So I put my daughter in the potty as I keep reading and when it was time for the next thing to do I saw she used the potty!!!!!!!
But she didn't show any sign, not only that, but when I notice me and my older daughter did the potty sing and dance.
My younger was like nothing.
She have a potty book and she read it to me...well kind of, she says some words, like the name of the girl, and she points at the dirty diaper and say poo, she says potty, and Oh no, when the girl poo in the floor, and things like that.
So I think she knows what is about it, I even took the bood out and point at the poo in the potty, but nothing.
What was your toddler reaction when she/he used the potty for first time?
Maybe this is a huge thing for us and for them is like, "ok, mom I got it, you like poo" lol.

Well, dd's not a good example since she was all of a week old and it was while she was nursing.

But with older kids, I think when it's their idea they don't make a big deal about it. And really, that's best. Save the dancing and wild applause for kids who need to be taught to perform, y'know? The reward is having dry pants and learning a new skill.

Lucky you that it works for your toddler!

Mine got the biggest smile on her face. She was only 13 months and she was so proud of herself. Luckily I caught it on camera.
