did anyone else go really slow into TV-free..

If DH actually goes through with moving our TV out of the living room, we are. It'll become something portable, brought in when the kids are in bed. Anyone else done it this way, the kids are primarily TV-free, except maybe the occasional bad-weather movie? (I'd probably be willing to try harder to ditch it entirely for them if I didn't feel, sadly enough, that screen time supervised at home is better than what's going on out in our neighborhood....)
