Chemical Sensitivity

Thread Starter
I am writing to see if anyone has a suggestion for me.

I have recently been exposed to moth balls and Raid ant spray. Since that time I have had headaches and joint aches. I have had to take Ibuprofen around the clock. This has been for 3 days.

I also restarted birth control pills 3 months ago. For the past 2 days my breast have been sore, I do have history of polycycstic breast disease. I am also breast feeding a 5 month old.

Does anyone have anyone have any idea if any of this is related?

If it is related to the chemicals in moth balls and Raid, is there anything I can do to rid them from my body while still breastfeeding?

Thanks for reading and look forward to hearing others experiences.

you might check out chelation therapy and possibly homeopathy.

in our line of business we run into many people who are chemically sensitive. it is very common for a chemical exposure (or a pregnancy) to "turn" a person sensitive. these events can be a trigger. it would be good to try to detox some way and if you are still sensitive and experiencing health effects you may want to get in tune with what is causing them. it could definitely be the pill. it could be chemical offgassing in things in your surroundings (carpet, cleaners, paints, formaldehyde - it can vary from person to person...)

Which type of pill are you on- apart from the ones which you have to take super regularly (without estrogene) you are not supposed to go on the pill while breastfeeding.

See a doctor re the headaches.
You should not go on popping ibuprofen.

It might be related to the chemicals but also it might be mere coincidence and some disc in your spine is a bit dislocated.

i would go with the dr. visit. BCP can cause migraines in some people.
