If you juice

When do you think its ok to give to your DC?

I mostly only juice 1 recipe, carrots, beet, apple and sometimes parsley or broccoli stems.

I was thinking about letting DS try it through a straw, but then I wasn't sure if it would be too strong? or something. he's 10m. On one hand I know its healthy so why not, but then I'm just not sure...

You could add some water. We recently started juicing and my little ds is 5 and does not like most of them because it is simply too strong. I added water and he still resist almost everything except pineapple. You could always use the juiced juice in the blender and add stuff to make a smoothie for him.

We use shot glasses when we juice. Most greens are super fibrous esp wheat grass. Fruits are very sugary too.

We started juicing around the time our DS was 8-10 months and gave him some juice. Our normal juice is carrots, beets and apples too! I feel it is a good recipe to introduce your taste buds to real juice! We would give a bit to him straight, or sometimes water it down. He loved it then, and at 2 loves it still. We can juice almost anything and he'll drink it. I remember when he was really young, if he heard the juicer he would come running (or then crawling) to get some!

I think I mostly avoided juice till 15-18 months along with most all other fluids (other than water) w/ ds1... ds2 is 1 yr and really hasn't had juice yet either (other than a stolen sip here or there from ds1's cup)

I was thinking of when I would intro DD to juice. I juice regularly.
Ususally something green, dsndelion, kale, lemon and apple.
I wondered when her tummy would be able to handle some. She's only 5 months now, so I'll wait a bit, but she's constantly trying to get my cup away from me
