Need new bedroom set-up

Hello, I think we're ready for a new set-up in our bedroom. We co-sleep with almost 11 mo ds. We have a crib side-carred, so can't use the rail for naps. I have rigged up a soft rail made from a bed sheet, but he has climbed over it once (and off the bed ) so I think it's time for a better napping situation. Here are my ideas:

1) separate the crib from the bed and put the rail on; use it for naps and bedtime, then push our bed up against the wall or get a side rail for when he comes in with us. My concern here is me getting up in the night to get him out of the crib...maybe I can make dh do it

2) leave our set up as is and make him some kind of bed on the floor for naps/bedtime. My concern would be him getting into things like the outlet our lamp and clock are plugged into, or crawling under the bed frame and getting stuck/hurt.

3) I really don't want to buy anything new, but I do have an Arms Reach Co-sleeper that I could use for naps in the playpen set-up. My worries here are that I'm not sure I can put him down in it without waking him up, it might be too hard on my back, shoulders, etc. to be putting him in and out of it, and it would take up the last of the floor-space in our bedroom and may lead to dh completely losing it

With 2 or 3 we could get rid of the crib and push the bed against the wall or get a side rail anyway. As you can see I don't know what to do. Dh isn't much help...he'd rather just ignore the problem of our bedroom and co-sleeping until it goes away

Do you have any recs for bed rails that fit a queen on a frame? Especially those that are inexpensive. I don't want a bolster-type or anything that further reduces the space on our bed...which is already at a premium.

TIA!

We're in a similar situation with 9 month old crawling off the bed (opposite side from the sidecarred crib) and I think we will end up pulling the bed apart and having the whole thing on the floor. He still nurses so much at night that I'm reluctant to separate the crib from the bed. It would mean so much less sleep for me.
