Can you "o" 5 days before expected AF?

Might be TMI... but for 5 days I'm having cramps and wierd "twinges" in my pelvis. My lower back is killing me.

I have had wet CM for about two weeks now and AF is due on the 15th according to TCOYF. Looks like egg white, but it isn't stretchy.

DTD almost every other day when I thought I was o'ing...

BFN on pink test. No other pregnancy symptoms. Sore breast but that's normal for me with AF.

This is our first month TTC ... but please AF come already so I don't drive myself crazy seeing symptoms that are not there!

Is it possible I am o'ing later than I thought?

Chart wont tell you much because I don't temp but here it is...

You can O at any time, but if your wetness lasts a long time then that is more likely part of your infertile norm than fertile since it's also not EW. You could have O'd around day 20 instead of an "average" day 14. Many women do.

It looks like TCOYF wouldn't be able to tell you when to expect AF but is just giving you a 28 day average. It seems that you have too little information so far to be able to tell much.

If you have regular cycles close to average, I would guess that you did time your BD around O time and simply didn't notice EW fluid. In which case your chances are great even if you can't see the details

You can certainly have a delayed ovulation, that would mean that AF wouldn't be due at your normal time though. You would still experience your normal luteal phease.

Last cycle I ovulated on CD39, prior to that my longest cycle in the past 5 years had been 35 days.

This is my first cycle post partum. Still nursing my 26 month old and he *was* night weaned until last week. Makes it pretty hard for me to tell what a regular cycle would be for me. And I do need to get a little better about charting.

No, my parents seperated that month right before I was expected to ovulate. I think that the stress delayed ovulation.

I didn't realize stress can delay ovulation... Thanks for sharing! I'm kind of new at this, so there's alot to learn. It's so hard to learn without becoming obsessive.

So sorry about your parents.

It's alot to learn but it's also very fun to know what's going on. There are a lot of ladies here with lots of knowledge. If you haven't read it yet, one of the most recomended books is "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" to learn more about charting.

Ewcm!!!

Thanks. I will try that book.

Also, just wiped and got a ton of EWCM. This is a different texture than the previous wet CM that I had for 2 weeks. It stretches a little more and is cloudy and really looks like egg white!

Does this mean I am o'ing?

It could indeed mean you are gearing up to ovulate (to clarify, ovulation is a basically split-moment thing that only lasts about 5-15 minutes... the exact moment the egg is released)

If you are... you could O anytime within the next few days (so get busy with the hubby!) and AF would be due in about 2 weeks, give or take some days.

However, if you have DTD with him recently (last 24 hours or so) it could just be his semen leaking out of you.

We DTD Wednesday... so looks like BD tonight!

DS tried to nurse 5 times last night, so I am limiting his nursings today.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that a nursing spurt could delay ovulation.

Oh boy - I thought I was in the 2ww - it would be wonderful to have another chance!

I get those similiar signs just before AF arrives. In TTCOF it also says you may have EWCM just before AF begins, I notice that for myself as well. If you would temp a lot of times there is a big dip the day of AF or just before. It will allow you to waste less tests.

dtd anyway, anytime you have decent cm, because that way if there is a surprise, you will be covered.

Wish I could temp, but I never sleep because of insomnia and a DS who has reflux and allergies which sometimes keep him (and me) up. I tried it once in the distant past and it didn't work out for me.

I have no problem with that advice! Better to have all bases covered, right?
