how often do you/your little ones eat meat? - Page 2

I don't eat meat, but DH and DS do. DS might have meat for lunch once or twice a week, and I make meat for dinner probably 3-4 times. DH does better with more, but I've been getting lazy late in my pregnancy. When things go back to normal (ha!) we will probably have meat at dinner 4-6 times per week. I only serve pastured meats.

another unrepentant carnivore- 2-3 times a day. We eat grassfed local yada yada. Digestion is better on our diet

We eat meat several times daily. And by that I mean some days could be 5 or 6x a day. But that is not just full servings or big ole hunks of meat, lol. We use bone broth in lots of stuff, and commonly eat supper leftovers for breakfast. We eat alot of soup, too, and they all have bone broth and/or bits of meat. Fish sauce is a common ingredient here too.

We eat beans once or twice weekly, but we don't find it to be a good protein sub for our family. We eat them in addition to our meat. We also eat tons of eggs, and drink/cook with lots of raw goats milk from across the road (we get for free and soon will have our own!).

We raise our own domestic rabbits (way better than chicken!!), chickens, guineas, quail, buy/get from my mom our goats to butcher, either trap wild pigs, and soon we'll have our first 2 homestead pigs. We get lamb from my mom (she rents out pasture to her neighbors who have a sheep dairy and gets paid in meat), fish her hubby and my kids catch, or wild Alaskan salmon, or prawns from a farm around the corner at the yearly harvest.

We round out our meals with fruits and veggies that we grow/forage for/get at a co-op (berries!), and now we can start using honey from our very own bees instead of buying it.

Between me and my three kids we eat a pound of minced meat a week, perhaps some bacon, a chicken every other week, fresh fish once a week and tinned fish once a week. The mince and chicken tend to get spread out into a lot of meals with just a little meat so we eat meat most days. But not large ammounts. If we had a bigger food budget we'd eat more!

Two or three times a day, honestly. She eats mostly meat, occasional eggs (if fried in...bacon grease lol) and also quite a few veggies. Artichokes, kale, and cucumbers are hits right now. She also eats plenty of fruit.

I try to keep her on as primal a diet as possible, but she also eats some grain products under my ex's care. She also drinks tons of raw milk.

....And while I wrote this post she ate a piece of raw, rice spaghetti. Nice.

About twice a day usually, 3 times a day on weekends.

Always at dinner (except when we have fish for dinner), usually for weekday lunches (sandwiches or leftovers) and on weekends we will often have meat or eggs at breakfast too. Weekday breakfasts are fruit and toast.

No problems with regular bowel movements, but we do eat a lot of fruits and veggies too.

At most about 5 times a week, in small portions.

we eat meat once or twice a day. i do a meatless dinner about 2x a week, usually something like pancakes or veg chili, maybe just a big salad, depending on what i have on hand and how much effort i feel like putting into the meal

i've come to realize that i actually need to eat meat on a regular basis, otherwise i get shaky and anemic. beans and stuff just don't have enough of what my body needs.

chicky2, can i just say, you are living my dream life.
