We eat meat several times daily. And by that I mean some days could be 5 or 6x a day. But that is not just full servings or big ole hunks of meat, lol. We use bone broth in lots of stuff, and commonly eat supper leftovers for breakfast. We eat alot of soup, too, and they all have bone broth and/or bits of meat. Fish sauce is a common ingredient here too.
We eat beans once or twice weekly, but we don't find it to be a good protein sub for our family. We eat them in addition to our meat. We also eat tons of eggs, and drink/cook with lots of raw goats milk from across the road (we get for free and soon will have our own!).
We raise our own domestic rabbits (way better than chicken!!), chickens, guineas, quail, buy/get from my mom our goats to butcher, either trap wild pigs, and soon we'll have our first 2 homestead pigs. We get lamb from my mom (she rents out pasture to her neighbors who have a sheep dairy and gets paid in meat), fish her hubby and my kids catch, or wild Alaskan salmon, or prawns from a farm around the corner at the yearly harvest.
We round out our meals with fruits and veggies that we grow/forage for/get at a co-op (berries!), and now we can start using honey from our very own bees instead of buying it.
