When did you or are you finding our what you're having? We r going right at our 20 week mark. What about everyone else? We're paying our of pocket...I'm so paranoid baby won't cooperate. I guess it's out of our control, but I'm so excited & want to know.

We'll find out next week. I'll be 19 weeks. It's part of our OB's normal mid-pregnancy anatomy scan, so it's covered in our plan.

our insurance only "covers" one u/s. And that's IF you've met your deductible...which we haven't. Didn't find that out til afterward. Lasttime i paid $25 before baby was born and that's all I had to worry about. Someone who is due a week after me is finding out more than week before me. We talk some...but think it makes me mad b/c it's a gf of DH's from way back in the day-haha.

I had an anatomy scan at 17w3d. We found out we're having a boy. My original scan wasn't scheduled until 19w4d, but DS used my tummy at a trampoline and my midwife wanted me evaluated after contractions went on for hours.

I'm going at 19 weeks. I wanted to go before I get busy with preparing to move in late September, but late enough that it could be our one and only ultrasound- I go next monday afternoon!! I'm so nervous and excited!

We had our u/s at 16 weeks, and they were able to tell right away. I was surprised and was expecting to have to come back at 24 weeks. Luckily our little boy is very proud.

We did ours at 19w2d. Our OB wanted it to be after 19 weeks. Not sure why, as last time they were fine with us having it at 18 weeks. With DD1 we did it right at 20 weeks.

When I was PG with DD and we went for the 20-week u/s she had her legs crossed and no matter how much they prodded her, had me turn on my side, change positions, etc. she refused to uncross her legs or even move around much for that matter.

Fortunately they were SO nice and let us come back for another u/s after hours and off the books (for free!) They told me to drink juice, oj, apple, anything with natural sugar and it would make the baby more active and more likely to cooperate or at least change positions. Sure enough it worked, she was moving around like crazy after a small bottle of oj. I drank it on my way to the appt so try that before you go

We are doing it between 19 & 20 weeks (first week in Sept). My OB wants me to consult with a high risk group and they would do an ultrasound anyway so we decided to combine the 2 because we haven't met our deductible yet and don't want to have to pay more than we need to out of pocket. My OB prefers the anatomy scan to be right around 20 weeks.

We are getting our anatomy u/s at 18w1d a tad early because wechave twins and because we are leaving on our big move. Midwife says with twins it good to go a tad early cause they get crowded to get good mesuments.
We had a super quick scan last week at 16w2d and I can't imagine being able to see the sex clearly, but we also didn't bother to take them time and look. Those level two scans that we will get next week much be a lot better clarity!

I did both of mine right at 20 weeks (covered in the routine anatomy scan) and this time I'll be going right at 20 weeks again but not finding out.

I'm pretty sure we went at 20 weeks last time...it was day before Thanksgiving. I will def try drinking some juice, thx for the advice! I still don't know how a ultrasound is routine/required yet not covered by insurance-but whatever. Still very excited!

Mine is the day I turn 20 weeks. I had n/t us and the OB told me it was a boy at 12 weeks, so I am very interested to see if he is right.

With my 1st pregnancy they didn't do an anatomy scan. With my 2nd it was at 22w and we easily found out his gender, and he was pretty eager to show off at every scan. With my 3rd we did a gender scan that I was planning on paying out of pocket for at 16w5d and it took a lot of convinving for her to open her legs...they ended up billing insurance and they paid. At 19w4d they did the anatomy scan and confirmed she was a girl. She was shy at every single appointment about showing her gender.

This one I don't think would have opened his/her legs if I wanted, I was 20w even. Knees were tightly together the whole time, just like I have been suggesting for the last 4 months.

I went last Thurday. I was 20 weeks 2 days (measured as 20 weeks on the ultrasound) It was very easy for the tech to see he was a boy. No shyness here lol!
