Hi. I had many a problem breastfeeding my first daughter who ended up being pretty much exclusively formula fed except for the measly 6oz-8oz I could pump a day.
Well, my second daughter arrived at the end of April and while hoping for a better experience, I was prepared for the worst. Well she also lost too much weight at the beginning (over 10%) so we started supplementing at breast with a home made sns.
At 3 weeks, I decided to give the lact-aid a try. It was much better than the homemade sns and I was re-energized to keep the nursing relationship going. At the time I was supplementing about 8-10oz a day (and still am). Here's my worry though:
9lbs 2oz - birth weight
10lbs 12oz @ 6 weeks
11lbs 6oz @ 2 months
12lbs 9oz @ 3.5 months
How does this weight gain look to you all? I think it looks a bit low, about 3.5 oz a week or so.
Other Facts:
Sorry that this is long and rambling, but I'm thinking that she's not gaining enough, but not sure how I could possibly feed her any more! What do you all think of this weight gain? I'm crazy to be worried?
(my formula fed baby was 15lbs at her 4 month checkup after being born a full pound lighter ... perhaps this is why I'm doubting myself)

Other Facts:
- 5-8 heavy wet diapers a day.
- We've been nursing without supplementation overnight as well as for the first feed of the day, then nursing on demand with the lact-aid for the rest of the day ending with a feed at around 6:30 where she usually takes about 4oz from the lact-aid. (other feeds throughout the day she might only take and oz or two)
- After that 6:30pm feed she goes down for the night and doesn't wake again until 12am to 2am. After that I bring her to bed and feed her off and on until about 6:30 am. (a hungry 3.5 month old baby would wake to eat no?)
- She's meeting milestones, and is a happy little baby.
- I'm on 160mg domperidone per day
