Craving apple cider vinegar - ?

Thread Starter
I'm 14 weeks pg, and for the last couple of weeks have been craving sour things... I bought some Bragg's apple cider vinegar to use for cooking and found myself wanting to drink it... I tried it plain but have been drinking it with water. Maybe 1-2 Tbsp to a cup of water, usually at night. Weird, I know, but this can't be harmful right? Possibly even beneficial? And what could this mean about my nutritional status?

beneficial indeed! Mothering posted a thing... a pregnancy drink to make you feel better... that was out of good apple cider vinegar.

The stuff does so much for your body its a really good thing to be drinking... so maybe it just means your body knows what is good for it!

I crave it even when not pregnant.

Maybe your body is borderline out of balance yeast/bacteria wise and it's trying to correct?

Yup with the PP
Also in chinese medicine theory, vinegar brings the energy down, and centers it. So if you are craving sugar which is an energy dispersent, they say to take a tsp of apple cider vinegar, to bring that energy back.
And I also find that alot of kubuchi (that fermented drink) tastes just like apple cider vinegar- and it also has a lot of positive effects
