not quite sure how to word the title so here goes....
i am just looking at if you have a child like mine.
so dd is v. v. independent and extremely confident super mature child. she came out of the womb that way i joke. always knowing exactly what she wants.
some of it is parenting and some just being her.
for instance as a toddler she obviously thought that her friends had the same leeway she did when it wasnt true. so she got to do things they were not allowed to do and she'd suggest they do it and they would get into trouble with the mom for that reason. so while i kept an eye out for that, i also started explaining how rules are different in different families and she got that in time.
but now i noticed a new trend. she has a way of riling the other children up. i have never been able to pinpoint exactly what she does, but she somehow gets all the kids around her sooo excited that they have to do something to get rid of the extra energy. i am saying excited but not sure how else to describe it. the other day her 10 year old friend lay on the ground and kicked her feet on the ground. her mom asked her to calm down but her dd couldnt do it. came close to being punished.
i noticed other friends doing that too. that after a playdate with dd the parents have to really work on their kids to calm down.
i have tried to figure out what my dd does but i havent been able to lay my finger on it.
i notice it even more because one of her other friends is just the opposite. she calms the other friends down. yet when she is around dd she gets riled up too.
and yet dd has a 'calm' personality for pets. many of my friends who have pets have told me how much they welcome dd for playdates because the dogs dont get hyper around her. the cats dont hide from her but actually come out when she is there.
no one complains. its just something i noticed about dd.
