Transverse at 34 weeks

Baby was transverse for a while and finally turned to head-down about two weeks ago. She stayed that way for two weeks and is now transverse again! Any suggestions to get her to turn?? When she turned 2 weeks ago, I had done some yoga, spent some time on elbows and knees, and even put headphones with gentle music in the waist of my underwear! Of course I've tried all those things again, with no results this time. I'm worried baby may be getting too big to be making big turns anymore. :-/

Any suggestions??? Thank you1

Have you been doing chiropractic at all? I'd do that along with some inversions and all the other spinning babies suggestions (you can find more info here, not sure if you're familiar with spinningbabies.com) http://spinningbabies.com/baby-posit...tions/sideways

If she just turned transverse again, she's not too big to turn back. You have lots of room and lots of time. I would just put in the effort to make her go back right away and also be really serious about good positioning from here out.

What do you mean "good positioning"? Are you referring to how I sit, sleep, stand, etc.? Or do you mean just be aware of the baby's position?

I was wondering if I'm doing something wrong with my posture or something. I know I'm not supposed to sit/slouch in super soft chairs. I try to sit on the floor in a tailor pose or straddle sit as much as I can.

Ideally in sitting, you keep your back at a 90 degree angle to your hips, or even leaning slightly forward. That is a lot more upright that most of us are accustomed to sitting On my couch, I have to have a pillow behind my back to achieve this. In the car, I have to have the seat back a lot further forward than I normally do, etc. Another thing I'd add is some pelvic rocking on hands and knees. These are things I do during pregnancy even if my baby is in a "good" position because they encourage them to stay put once you get them there!

Thanks for the advice.

I've kindof fallen away from my daily habit of cat/cow, hip swivels, kegels, etc... I had a routine. I think I'm getting more impatient and less motivated! Anyway, thanks for the encouragement to keep up with those things, b/c they really do matter!

My breech "little" one turned at just over 35w to head down with the help of chiropractic and massage. And he measured quite large on u/s this week (done to confirm that I could cancel my ECV), so I'd be you till have room for yours to turn! I agree with all the others about using the SB techniques. Also visualize baby head down and talk about baby as if it has already turned. Seems silly but it can make a difference!

I'm 34.5 weeks with baby #2, and he still hangs out transverse most of the time. He is spinning around once a day, though, and butt-bumping my rib cage the same time every night. Your kiddo might just have enough room to move around for a while. Nothing wrong with trying the spinning baby stuff, but if he still have room to move around, he may go back to transverse. I would wait a couple more weeks before really worrying too much about it, mama.

I'm about 34.5 weeks too, and my baby seems to be all over the place. At my 31 week check s/he was head down; at 33 weeks s/he was transverse... I got really worried and called the midwife. She echoed what others are saying - if baby still has enough room to turn to transverse, then they still have enough room to turn back to head down. She told me not to worry about it at all at this point...

Of course, I'm trying not to worry, but not doing a very good job
