Last year my son seemed to react to his organic silk/wool long underwear. He wore them the year before without a problem, but last winter he developed some itchy excema. I thought dry skin was the problem, we addressed that but he was still getting small flare ups. We switched to just cotton longies for a few weeks, and he seemed 99% healed. I then used the silk/woolies again and again the excema flared. So...don't think he is allergic to wool exactly, but I am thinking the wool is a trigger for his sensitive skin.
Anyhow, I would rather not just use cotton because he does get wet a lot in the winter. Any good sources for warm silk long underwear for kids? Wintersilks only has the really thin ones in his size (he will be 4). Or should I go with something like capilene (sp!)?
