I bought a Gypsy Mama water wrap to use this summer at the lake but for assorted reasons we didn't get there much. I want to enjoy using the wrap before my DS gets too heavy (he's already ~16 lbs), and realized I could just use it in the shower. Any strategies/advice for showering with a babe in a wrap?

never used a wrap in the shower, but based on using a pouch, I'd tie it a bit looser so that he can have a bit of a pool of his own for bathing.
Also, put a hook up in your bathtub so you can hang the wrap up right there. (e.g. the 3M command hooks which come off cleanly when/if you decide you don't want a hook there (omg, I left the shower one up at my old place. Oops..) later on.)
And you will probably want a second person for getting out of the shower. It's a bit trickier to coordinate baby, carrier, and towel(s), than just baby and towels.
However, in the shower it is a lot better to have your hands free and if you/ds like longer showers it'll definitely be worth a bit of bother at the start and end.

I used GMBBB in the shower up through maybe 4 months! It was a little long for me and the extra fabric was a little bit of a pain but it worked great. I ended up buying a water wrap from GM as well but it was so stretchy & the baby got too big for that quick. I ended up selling both on fsot but they were great! DS got used to being in the shower and having water on his head & face. I put a baby seat on the floor outside the shower with a towel draped in it and when I was done put him in that and wrapped him up so I could then get out. You have to be extra careful getting out of a slippery place while wearing, but I totally recommend it!

I always wanted to try and shower with DS in a carrier! I thought I was nuts! So glad it can actually be done!

That said, I still haven't tried my wrap. I'm waiting till the weekend when my husband will be home--extra pair of hands and all. I'll let you know how it works out!
