When your toddler start talking in simple sentences?

Hi all,
My daughter is 2 years and she has a long vocabulary (she was a late talk but she catch up quickly once she start) but so far she doesn't have many sentences. I think so far she has: More, please, ok (all together) whens he wants something. Kiss momy (when she wants kiss) Yes, I am ok (when she falls...and she is ok, lol) and Oh, no (when she is not ok), I see you, here I come, I don't know.
But that is about it, she knows how to express her self but all in one word, like
baba, come (Spanish word for eat), ven (Spanish for come here), naptime, pompom (for when she needs diaper change), book, etc, etc.
So I am wonder when your kid start talking in simple sentences.
Do once they start do they just go, go, go?
Thanks

DD#1 started @16 mos, but most of her friends of same age started 2 or later, some still in simple sentences at 2.5 years.

I heard bilingual babies start talking later. It has something to do with processing the 2 languages.

DS started talking in simple sentences around his 2nd birthday. Now at 26 months, he is talking in rather complex sentences.

DD has slight speech delay and at 22 months the only sentences she has are "oh no" and "bye da da".

16/17 months, but he has been a little ahead verbally.

DS just turned 2 and has been saying simple (2-3 word) sentences for at least 4 months...if I'm remembering correctly. In the last couple months he's started to say more 4-6 word sentences. E.g. "I did it and no fall." "Mommy sit right here like daddy."

My 2 yr old is a very big talker, always has been. But it has just been in the past 2 weeks that he has started doing 2-3-4 word phrases.

DD sounds a lot like your daughter. She's got a big vocabularly but doesn't speak in sentences much. She'll use them very rarely and doesn't repeat them (she did say "Mommy Go" today but I don't expect to hear that again anytime soon). She's trilingual and I think that probably does play a role in it. It seems that the kids that I know that are bilingual+ all take a little longer when it comes to speaking in sentences for some reason.

DD started with 2 and 3 word phrases around 17 or 18 months I think. Shes 25 months now and says things like "I'm gonna keep this book on my lap so addison don't grab it" She was an early talker though.

That being said, I agree with the others about her being bilingual. And every kid is different. I think verbal growth tends to come in spurts though. At one point, she was putting very few words together. A week later, she had formed dozens of small phrases. She did that for a while and then out of no where, she started creating longer sentences. I don't think theres much reason to be concerned at this point.

Same here. DS spoke in very simple sentences for the longest time... and then he suddenly came out with these 8 word phrases which shocked the socks off of me and DH!!

I was wonder about that, I always hear that kids learn languages easy and fast but I have no idea if I am doing this right, I am the only one that speak Spanish so maybe she gets confused?

while the current research doesn't support the theory that biligual kids will have a delay, anecdotaly that has been my experience.
I'm sure your DD is fine and will speak in simple sentences when she is ready! And don't stop speaking spanish with her!

That is so weird, my daughter's first sentence was "Oh, no" "or "Oh, men", did your daughter got it from Dora? That is where mine got it, lol.

What languages does she speak? Do you teach them to her or she goes to school?

I had notice that, she wasn't talking at all and next thing she just start repeating words. Well, I guess I will just enjoy now before the none stop "why's? come, lol.

My 4yo was talking in 6-8 word sentences before her 2nd birthday. On the opposite end my 20mo can barely say 6-8 words total plus a couple of signs. I don't remember exactly about the older three but probably somewhere between those two.

My oldest was under 12 months. I'm not sure exactly when, but I remember people being shocked at his 1st bday party at what he was saying. My dd was also earlyish - 14 months or so? My youngest was. . .3? Maybe? He was a late talker, and only in the past few months (he's almost 5) has he gotten really talkative.

17/18 months for my ds. He talks constantly...just like his mama. Even talks in his sleep!
