Should I switch math for ds?

For my 8 yr old, we are doing Singapore Math. I actually defaulted to Singapore as we did it with my oldest and still have the textbooks. Problem is, my oldest says that she does not enjoy math. She is very good at it, but dislikes it. I wonder if I should do a different math curriculum with DS8. When I pull out the books, I feel often like it just makes math too hard, harder than it needs to be, to teach simple concepts.

If we switch, it will likely be to BJU math. I have also considered Miquon for this level, but am unsure if it is bad to start miquon at 3rd grade level. Thanks so much for help! I have considered MUS also, but DS6 already started Miquon and is happy with it so I am afraid I would not be able to transition between them. But MUS is on the table as a possible too. DS8 is very very smart, but also has autism spectrum disorder (PDD-NOS)

We are entering 3rd grade Singapore, and I'm finding it not such a great fit anymore. My son who loves math has become resistant to Singapore. So orally we went through the rest of the book in a couple of days. Turns out he was ready for a new challenge with it now I'm not sure what to use for curriculum.

I think it gets too heavy on mental math and weird word problems. I did great in math as did my dh and we did not use Singapore math as children. We used ordinary every day American programs.
