Crochet hook that is easier on your hands/wrists?

I have had the carpal tunnel surgery on both sides. My right side is fine, the left side sometimes hurts when I crochet a lot. I seem to remember hearing about a crochet hook that was supposed to be easier to use in that respect. I can't find it when I do a search so I thought maybe someone here would know. Thanks!

The egg one looks a little too big for me, but might be really nice. I would try it if someone had one. In the meantime I love the bamboo/aluminum ones and pretty much only use those.

bunnyflakes, I used to crochet and had terrible carpel tunnel symptoms while doing it. In addition to replacing your needle, try supporting your arms with pillows or a table and taking frequent breaks to stretch.

Interestingly, I have very little pain while knitting. You could always come over to the other side.

To annoy you and save you money on yarn .

Crochet makes some beautiful things. I'd love to do some lacy crochet... Dc need to age before I have time for that!

I have the Clover Soft Touch- LOVE them! But I do wonder if the egg shape would be better for carpal tunnel.

Got mine at Michaels.

I don't have carpal tunnel issues, but I repeatedly get tendinitis with other hooks especially if I work with cotton (lack of stretch I think), but not with these.

I wanted to add that I am having an EMG done next month and meeting again with the surgeon who did the CT release. I am hoping something went wrong and can be fixed. As it is, I haven't crocheted in a long time and my wrist feels fine.

Gosh what would I do with all of my yarn if I couldn't crochet? I have probably 200 skeins.
