Abnormal brainstem size

Anyone have this found in their child?? We just learned this Monday from her 2nd MRI that her optic nerves and brain stem are small.

I understand what the small optic nerves could mean but the brainstem baffles me

This was part of my son's MRI results as well. The neurologist didn't specify the meaning of this alone, rather just the possibilities of the "constellation of findings" (their words...) which was PVL (periventricular leukomalacia)
He is now 2 and he seems typical in behavior (they warned us of possible behavior issues) but we will not know until about 5 or so with better confidence.
We have a neuro follow-up this fall, I will have to ask specifically about that.
