I'd love to hear of some online sites for this actually!

We use the PBS sites a lot. My dd used to like Caillou for fun things, WordGirl for the word games, and Starfall (which is a reading site). We have also gone on the National Geographic Kids site but it is a little difficult for her age. Pretty much any tv show a kid can watch has a website associated with it. I prefer the PBS ones because they are easier to use. I also let her play with the drawing board hardware that came with our computer.

Have you looked at the Jumpstart 3D World online version? There is a limited version free trial and the full worlds is $8/month. It is FULL of fun activities. You could just activate it for a limited time. My DD is almost 3 and could probably spend hours, days, even weeks and not get through it all.

We <3 Starfall!

Starfall.com and pbskids.com are real winners in our house. DS likes the disney site, too. But, I think there are too many ads on there.

You can stop by your library and ask for help looking for and checking out computer games that will run on your computer. I work at our library, and we have new and old children's games that run on all different platforms. If your library doesn't have some that run on your computer platform, more than likely they can request some from other libraries. This way, you always have something new to try!

literactive.com you have to create and account, but it's free. It has phonics practice and games,we love it more than starfall!

We loved Zoombinis here from about age 5 to 10!
There was also a Stuart Little grade 1 software game that my daughter loved to play. I never looked at it much, but it said it covered the entire grade 1 curriculum standards for CA.
She also loved Learn to play Chess with Fritz and Chesster.
