What's the TF stance on tea? I saw the whole "use herbal teas and coffee substitutes sparingly" thing on the intro to TF thread, but what about true tea?

I drink lots of green tea everyday. :

I drink an embarrassingly large quantity of black and green teas everyday as well.... I think one of the concerns is the fluoride content, but I also think that can be mitigated a bit by buying organic? I don't know, but I am never never never giving up my tea! I just make sure I buy organic/fair trade. Both Trader Joes and Whole Foods carries pretty cheap house brands.

Um, I LIVE on tea. I make my own every night, with filtered water and raw honey, and then stick it in the fridge and drink it cold all the next day. A quart a day. I don't know if that's TF or not, but I wouldn't give it up anyway. I love my tea.

Yeah, regardless of the whatever the official stance might be, I'm not giving up my tea.

I consider tea to provide some really important minerals and nutrients. Of course, my tea is an herbal mixture (I don't handle caffeine well) that I mix up myself and steep for a long time to extract all the good stuff!

I personally would be shocked if The Dentist found societies that drank copious amounts of tea AND had good teeth.

That said... I drink coffee (my Native American roots) and tea (my Indo-European roots) and I figure, if I am going to pick and choose traditions to build a nutritious diet, I can pick and choose my treats as well.

Sounds about right to me! I have no idea what the TF stance on it is but it's going to be hard enough for me to switch to decaf coffee (for mood reasons). No way am I cutting it completely.
