Problem with Felting

Thread Starter
I just felted for the very first time: a knitted bag - it came out beautifully BUT, I obviously did not sew together sufficiently 2 sections of a seam and now I have 2 holes in my otherwise beautiful bag! I tried to sew it together - but cannot even get the needle to go through the material - I suppose that is how felting works. Any ideas how to salvage my bag?? I love it though and will do another one for sure! I appreciate your suggestions if there are any!

What kind of needle are you using? When that happened to me I just happened to be at my mom's and she had a sail needle. It was just like a tapestry needle only with a wicked point. Be careful - felting can be sooo addictive.
