I posted on another thread earlier, because someone else said there was an article on Facebook. Maybe it's the same one.

There are articles all over the place.

WC is seen every year in every state. It peaks in 4 yr cycles, regardless of immunization coverege. Since the Dtap booster campaign is in full swing since last year, what better way to get folks to roll up their sleeve than to capatalize on their fear. It's all about the money.

When we had the WC outbreak in our area (I believe) almost 6-7 years ago, the vast majority of kids diagnosed with it were fully vaxed. In fact, in my daughter's Tot Time class, a letter was sent home saying that one of the kids in her class (fully vaxed) was diagnosed with WC the day before. My daughter never got it.

People can say and believe what they want. It's no use getting into an argument about it. I am secure in my choice not to vaccinate and that is all that matters.

Exactly!

Isn't the most important and most overlooked thing that when you or your kids are unwell stay home and rest, don't go out and expose everyone else to your cold/flu.

source/reference?

Hi, I'm looking for info that supports the statement that the pertusis vaccine does not prevent transmission, that it lessens the symptoms of WC. Can someone provide a link to research, scientific facts..... thanks!

You can do a search...this has been discussed multiple times on here before and I think you'd come up with what you are looking for if you did a forum search. I did a quick one just now and there are 101 threads where this has been discussed

yep, i should have thought twice before posting my question. my bad. i did just as PP suggested and found what i needed. this is precisely why i'm hesitant to post questions that much around here b/c i'm sure "it's been discussed" before.

I hope I didn't offend! I didn't mean it in a naughty you kind of way at all!
It's always good to do search before or even after posting a question because often you will get alot more info than what people answer anyway. Please don't ever feel like you shouldn't ask questions
