6 mo old and sleep issues...

I'm not sure if this is a nighttime issue, or a developmental issue, so I'm posting here. My dd is 6 mo. old and we are having some major nighttime sleep issues. She wakes about every hour/hour and a half. She's not hungry and she goes right back to sleep, but it's killing me. I feel like I haven't had a full nights sleep in a long time. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it a stage, could it be teething? She naps well during the day, it's just at night that we are having issues. I'm not sure what I'm even looking for by posting this, maybe some commisseration or BTDT.
Oh yeah, for some background, she was sleeping well up until about a month ago. She starts the night in her pack n play next to the bed, and ends up in our bed during the night. She wakes either way. All I have to do is give her her blankie and binky and she's right back out.

We went through a similar phase right around that time. DD had slept 4-5 hour stretches and all of a sudden started to wake every 1.5 to 2 hours again. It got better after about a month and she is back to sleeping 4 hours at a time.

Maybe there is a big developmental milestone right around the corner. Elli started crawling during that phase.

could be teething, developmental milestones, etc. My DS woke every hour or more his whole first year. Months 6-9 were the worst, and he did a lot of teething and made lots of developmental leaps during that time... crawling, then cruising, and then walking at 9 months. Plus a couple first words thrown in there. He was waking every 30 minutes most nights. Then once he started walking at 9 months, it got better! Well, back to waking hourly at least.

Now at almost 2 we have nightweaned and moved him to his own bed (around 19 months old) and he STTN half the nights, the other half only waking 1-2 times. It does get better! Hang in there!

It got better after about 5 weeks. Though things are a bit touch and go now from teething. But no where nearly as bad as those 5 weeks.

Thank you for the replies. Logically, I know that it will get better and it is normal, but it's just hard to keep that in mind throughout the night, ya know?
Anyway, I feel better just reading your responses.

My DD has been doing the same thing for the past 3 weeks and she will be 7 months tomorrow....so no advice for you But it is nice to know that others are going through it also.....Helps to keep it in perspective...

I agree. It's nice to know that I'm not the only one, too. While my little guy isn't waking quite as often - only once or twice at night - it still throws me off when he'll sleep for a long stretch one night and then start waking up twice another night.
He's working on sitting unassisted and wants to crawl so bad right now that it's not even funny. He's scooting on his belly and he's 5.5 months. He's determined and it's gotta be on his mind!
